Advice to Other Athletes: “Don’t be afraid to give it all you got and just go for it.”

“As quirky as they come, Alexis is always good for a great laugh!  She is constantly smiling and enjoying the simple things in life.  But don’t let her joyfulness fool you as she is a very fierce competitor.  She knows what it takes to be a great runner and has worked very hard to become one.  As a member of the BVNW XC/T&F teams she has been there leading by example day-in and day-out.  Alexis constantly pushes herself to try new things as she did this year in trying the 300m hurdles.  Going in to the challenge with a positive mindset and can-do attitude she honed her craft and got herself all the way to the State meet.  It is this intrinsic drive to continually push herself that will help her succeed in life.  We are excited to see what the next chapter holds as heads to the University of Central Missouri, and we wish her the best of luck!”
