I grew up in Lincoln Nebraska - Parents Mike Gordon and Leslie Gordon - Brothers Eric (39), Alex (36), Brett (32) - Went to Lincoln Southeast High School - Played baseball and basketball until senior year, then focused solely on baseball. Received a scholarship to play baseball at Park University after high school. Set career records for pitching that still stand today. Innings pitched (212), strikeouts (172), and wins (24). After graduating I signed with the Kansas City T-Bones, an independent professional baseball team in Kansas City. After 1 season my contract was purchased by the Kansas City Royals. I spent 2 full seasons in the minor league system before being released in 2017. After being released I signed with another independent baseball team, the Lincoln Saltdogs. I chose to go back to my hometown to play baseball so I could spend time with my family. Two seasons with the Saltdogs were all it took for me to realize my real dream which was to develop athletes and prepare them for the next level. Since then I have been involved with PSP3.
I’ve been working with baseball pitchers on the instructor side since 2010 and each lesson had the same problems. I realized that a lot of what could be changed could be done in a more controlled environment, PSP3 was a perfect fit for what change I wanted to make. Once the progress started, at that moment I knew I was onto something special.
My motivation and passion is simple. I wasn’t a highly recruited athlete, I was undersized and underdeveloped. I want to be the coach I needed in high school. Someone to motivate me and push me to be the best version of myself. I want to give athletes every opportunity to make themselves better and push them past their mental and physical limits.
